Nas and his label Mass Appeal have unveiled plans for a new posthumous Mobb Deep album titled Infinite. The project was teased on Instagram, with Havoc recalling the drive behind it: “We didn’t have no choice but to make ill songs… let’s do it with these lyrics, the beats.”
Infinite marks the duo’s first release since The Infamous Mobb Deep (2014) and the first since Prodigy’s passing in 2017. Featuring unreleased Prodigy vocals, the record is fully produced by Havoc and The Alchemist—mixed, mastered, and ready for release.
Part of Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… series, the album joins upcoming projects from Nas & DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, De La Soul, Big L, and Slick Rick.
Though no date has been set, the caption “Infinite coming soon” signals that fans won’t have to wait long. Nearly a decade after Prodigy’s loss, Infinite promises to honor Mobb Deep’s legacy while delivering the raw energy that defined their sound.
