From Oscar® winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions—the creative team behind Get Out, Us, Candyman, and Nope—comes HIM, a gripping psychological thriller that dives into the price of fame, the dangers of idolatry, and the pursuit of greatness at all costs. The film features a powerhouse dramatic turn from Marlon Wayans (Air, Respect).
Tyriq Withers (Atlanta, the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer) stars as Cameron Cade, a gifted quarterback whose entire identity is bound to the game. On the eve of the NFL scouting Combine, Cam is brutally attacked by an unstable fan, leaving him with a devastating head injury that threatens to end his career before it begins.
When hope seems lost, Cam’s idol—legendary eight-time champion quarterback and cultural icon Isaiah White (Wayans)—extends an unexpected invitation: to train at his secluded compound, where he lives with his influencer wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox; Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move). What begins as a golden opportunity soon twists into something far more sinister, as Isaiah’s mentorship reveals a darker, manipulative side that pulls Cam into a dangerous psychological spiral.
The film also stars comedy icon Tim Heidecker (Us, First Time Female Director), Australian comic Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), along with MMA fighter Maurice Greene, hip hop artist Guapdad 4000, and Grammy-nominated musician Tierra Whack, all making their feature film debuts.
Directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks), from a celebrated Black List script by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie (Limetown), HIM is produced by Ian Cooper (Nope, Us), Jordan Peele (BlacKkKlansman, Candyman), Win Rosenfeld (Lovecraft Country), and Jamal M. Watson (Hala, Sprinter) for Monkeypaw Productions, with executive producers David Kern and Kate Oh.
